Qualification for BESCOM Recruitment 2014
Candidates have to possess class 10th standard Examination and pass certificate of 3 years Lineman
trade/Electrician trade (ITC) imparted by the Industrial Training Institute of KEB/KPTCL
Other Qualification:
Candidates should have knowledge of Kannada in reading and writing
Candidates have normal eye sight
Candidates have satisfactory physical fitness and shall qualify in the Endurance Test.
Selection Process:
Selection Process will be based on merit and marks secured in the Qualifying Examination.
Eligible candidates will be called for Endurance Test in ratio of 1:5

Age Limit:
Minimum age of the candidates for the above mention post should 18 years to 35 years for General candidates and maximum age for the others candidates have mentioned in the BESCOM Notification.

Important Notes:
For the candidates of Rural Quota: Candidates claiming reservation under Rural quota should have studied from 1st to 10th standard in Rural area. The Rural Study certificate should be produced in the format in the prescribed in GO No. DPAR 96 SRR 2005 dated 10/08/2005, duly attested by the Head Master of the School and countersigned by the concerned BEO.
For the candidates for Ex-Military Personnel: Candidates should possess discharge certificate for having served in Military/ Defence/ Armed forces.
For the posts of Kannada Medium Study Certificate: candidates should have studied in Kannada Medium from 1st to 10th Standard.
For Project displacement quota: The candidates should possess certificate issued by the concerned authority for having lost their agricultural land/ residence for projects.
