Details of Calcutta University B.Tech. Admission 2015 Counseling

List of applications received for admission through decentralised counselling against the vacant seats in different B. Tech. course of the University of Calcutta have already been published in the University Website : http://www.caluniv.ac.in.  After scrutinizing the applications and considering the number of vacant seats, only first few applications, according to merit list in each course,have been called for decentralised counselling.

Admission Procedure :

All vacant seats will be filled-up in accordance with the guidelines of Notification (No.329–Edn(T)/10M-51/15 dated 23.07.2015) from Higher Education Department (Technical Branch),Govt. of West Bengal.
The Decentralised Counselling for a Course will continue till the vacancy exists. Though presently there is no vacant seat for the B. Tech. Courses in Electrical Engineering and Instrumentation Engineering, if any vacancy (due to transfer) occurs in these courses during the process of Decentralised Counselling, those vacant seats will be filled-up from the on-spot choice of applicants on the same date.
Finally selected candidates are to take admission on the SPOT by depositing Rs.5000.00(Rupees five thousand only) in Cash after verification and submission of necessary documents.

Necessary documents : The candidates will have to produce the Original and Attested copies of the following documents at the time of reporting in person:
(i) Rank Card issued by WBJEEB
(ii) Admit Card of WBJEEB-2015
(iii) Admit card, Mark-sheet & Certificate of Madhyamik Examination or equivalent examination(class X)
(iv) Admit card, Mark-sheet & Certificate of H. S. Examination or equivalent examination (class XII)
(v) School leaving Certificate from the Principal/Head of the School/college last attended
(vi) Medical Certificate of physical fitness from a registered Medical Practitioner obtained within a week from the date of application which should state height, measurement of chest, condition of eye-sight and hearing, bodily infirmities etc.
(vii) Birth certificate.
(viii) Certificate from appropriate authority for SC / ST /OBC-A / OBC-B applicants, if applicable
(ix) Three (3) copies of colour Passport size photographs.

Counselling Schedule :

a) GMR: 5000 or below — Reporting at 11:00am till vacancy exists
b) GMR: 5001-10000 — Reporting at 12:00 noon till vacancy exists
c) GMR: 10001-15000 — Reporting at 1:00pm till vacancy exists
d) GMR: above 15000 — Reporting at 2:30pm till vacancy exists
