Eligible Criteria for CISF 156 Constable & Driver Recruitment 2015

Educational Qualification : Candidates should have complete Matriculation / 10th class or its equivalent qualification from any recognized Board / University / Insitution.

Age Limit : Candidates age should be between 21 years to 27 years. The crucial date for determining age limit will be the closing date for receipt of application from the candidates i.e. 03.10.2015 including for the candidates of North East region.

Age Relaxation : Upper age upto 05 years is relaxable for those persons who had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of J & K during the period from 1st Jan 1980 to 31st Dec 1989. The person claiming relaxation under this category should produce a certificate to the effect that they had been domiciled in the state of J & K during the period from 1st January 1980 to 31st December 1989 from the District Magistrate whthin whose jurisdiction they had ordinarily resided or from any other authority designated in this behalf by the Government of Jammu and Kashmit.

Driving Licence : The candidate should have a valid driving licence for

a) Heavy Motor Vehicle or transport Vehicle;
b) Light Motor Vehicle
c) Motor cycle with gear.

Physical Standard :

For General, SC & OBC candidtes :

Height : 167 Cms
Chest : Minimum 80 Cms with minimum expansion of 05 CMs i.e. 80-85

Relaxed Standards :

1. All candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes :

Height : 160 Cms
Chest : Minimum 76 Cms with minimum expansion of 05 CMs i.e. 76 – 81

Note : Ex-Servicemen candidates are eligible for total relaxation in physical standards.

Medical Standard :

1. Weight : Corresponding to height and age as per medical standards.

2. Eye sight :

a) Visual Acuity unaided (Near Vision) :

Better eye : N/6
Worse eye : N/6

2. Uncorrected visual acuity (Distant Vision) :
Better eye – 6/6
Worse eye – 6/6

3. Refraction
Visual correction of any kind is not permitted even by glasses.

4. Colour Vision :
CP II by ISIHARA.

Physical Efficiency Test :

1. Run : 800 Meters to be completed in 3 minutes and 15 Seconds.
2. Long Jump : 11 feet (Candidates will be given 3 chances)
3. 3 feet 6 inches (Candidates will be given 3 Chances).

Written Test and Trade Test :

Those who qualify in the PET, Physical measurement and detailed vertification of eligibility standards / documentation will be put through the following tests. Any candidate who do not secure the minimum qualifying marks in these tests as shown against each, will be eliminated from that particular stage and will not be allowed to appear in the further tests :-

1. Written Test :
Total Marks : 20
Qualifying Marks : 10

2. Driving test for light vehicle :
Total Marks : 50
Qualifying Marks : 25

3. Driving test for heavy vehicle :
Total Marks : 50
Qualifying Marks : 25

4. Practical knowledge of motor mechanism and ability to carry out minor repair of vehicles :
Total Marks : 30
Qualifying Marks : 15

Medical Examination :

After preparation of merit list, the candidates selected in order of merti (equal to the allotted number of category wise vacancies) will be put thrugh a detailed medical examination to assess their fitness.

Final Selection : The candidates found medically fit will be finally selected.

How to Apply for CISF 156 Constable & Driver Recruitment 2015

Eligible and interested candidates can apply in the prescribed format, which can be downloaded from the CISF official website www.cisf.gov.in and send their application along with application fees of Rs.50/- in the form of Postal Order drawn in favour of the officer and payable at the post office. SC / ST and Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempted from application fee.

Closing Date : Application should be sent so as to reach the concerned DIG of CISF about by 03.10.2015 and in case of residents of North East region by 10.10.2015. No application will be entertained which is received after the due date.
