Eligibility Criteria For Meghalaya PSC Recruitment 2021 

Educational Qualification:
The candidates Must be an MBBS or its equivalent degree holder from any recognized medical institution in India or abroad duly registered with MCI.

Vacancy Details:
Total of 120 Posts.

Age Limit:
23 Years and More than 41 for Recruitment at Grade III level Relaxable by 05 Years for SC/ST.

Half the rate for SC/ST who are permanent residents of the State of Meghalaya.

Salary Scale:

Eligible Criteria for Meghalaya Public Service Commission – MPSC Recruitment 2015

Educational Qualification:-

1. Lecturer in Garo:-
Essential Qualification:- Candidate should be possess at least Second Class Master Degree in Garo with Honours in the subject at the Degree Level. To be eligible to opt for UGC Scale, candidates must secure 55% marks at Master Degree level. Relaxation of 5% marks from 55% is applicable for SC/ST candidates.

2. Lecturer in Electronics Engineering:-
Essential Qualification:- Candidates must have at least 2nd Class Bachelor Degree in Electronics Engineering course from recognised College/University/IIT or other recognised Technical Institute offering Degree course in Electronics Engineering. Preference will be given to the candidates having experience in teaching.

3. Lecturer in Computer Application:-
Essential Qualification:- At least 2nd Class Degree in Computer Science and Engineering/ Computer Technology Course from recognised College/University/ITI or other recognised Technical Institute offering Degree Course in Computer Science and Engineering/Computer Technology.

4. Lecturer in Medical Electronics:-
Essential Qualification:- Candidates should be possess at least 2nd Class Degree in Medical Electronics/Electronics Engineering Course from recognised College/University/ITI or other recognised Technical Institute offering Degree Course in Medical Electronics/Electronics Engineering.

5. Lecturer in Automobile Engineering:-
Essential Qualification:- Candidates must have at least 2nd Class Bachelor Degree in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering course from recognised College/University/IIT or other recognised Technical Institute offering Degree course in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering. Preference will be given to the candidates having experience in teaching.

6. Assistant Soil and Water Conservation Officer:-
Essential Qualification:-
1. Candidates must have completed the basic course of Degree in Agriculture/Horticulture/Forestry from a recognised University and equivalent.
2. Hold a certificate in Soil and Water Conservation/Graduate Assistant/Ranger Training Course from the Training Centre conducted by or recognised by the Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR) or the Government of Meghalaya with at least 5 years field experience in Soil and Water Conservation.

7. Labour Inspectors :-
Essential Qualification:- Candidates must have at least Graduate in any discipline.

8. Assistant Teacher(Arts):-
Essential Qualification:- Candidates should be possess Graduate in Arts with B.Ed Degree.
9. Sub – Inspector:-
Essential Qualification:- Candidates must have completed Graduate in any discipline.

Age Limit:- Candidates age limit should have 18 years to 27 years. Upper age limit is relax-able by 5 years in respect of SC/ST candidates. No age limit for Meghalaya Government Servants provided they entered service within the prescribed age limit.

NOTE:- For persons with Physical Disabilities (PWDs) age is relaxable by 10 years (15 years for ST/SC) applicable to posts where reservation is admissible to PWD’s as per Govt. Notification No.PER (AR).150/88/Pt/282, dt. 25th January, 2012.

Selection Process:-
The final selection/recommendation of suitable candidates against the vacancies notified in this Advertisement shall be made by the Commission through any of the following processes.

1. Typing Speed, English Composition and Stenography Test, in recruitment to post of Typist and Stenographer (All Grades) as the case may be.
2. Personal Interview only.
3. Screening Test followed by Personal Interview.
4. Written examination followed by Personal Interview.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET), wherever required and prescribed by the Service Rules shall be conducted by conducted by the Commission assisted by a Medical Board duly constituted for the purpose, in accordance with the norms/standards and such specification as prescribed under such Rules.

The Screening Test shall be applied /conducted bythe Commission in respect of all recruitments to those posts where the method of selection/Syllabus has not been prescribed by the Service Rules. The objective of the test is to short-list the number of eligible candidates in recruitments where the number is large compared to the available vacancies, otherwise the selection of suitable candidates against the notified vacancies shall be made on the basis of personal interview. The decision to hold or not to hold the Screening Test in any such recruitment shall lie with the Commission.

Written Examination shall be mandatory in respect of recruitments to posts where the Service Rules has
specifically prescribed the conduct of such examinations. In such cases, the subjects, syllabus, total marks and pattern of examination shall be as notified by the concerned Government Department under such Rules.

On the result of such Screening Test/ Written Examination the Commission shall call such number of candidates as it may think appropriate to appear for the Personal Interviews. The principle/ policy followed by the Commission is that the ratio of the number of candidates called for interview to the vacancies should be limited to 1:2 to 1:5. In recruitments involving very few posts the ratio can be raised up to 1:10.

Candidates who wish to file Applications on-line may file through Cyber Cafes and community Service centres (CSC). In Districts where such facilities are not available candidates may visit the nearest nic centres where they will be assisted by the NIC in filling Applications on-line.

2. Off-line Mode :-

a) In this option candidates should present their applications completed in all respect at:-
i. Office Counter of MPSC, Office, Headquarter, Shillong.
ii. MPSC Cell at Tura, Nongstoin, Jowai, Baghmara, Williamnagar & Nongpoh On any working day between 10:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.till the last date.

b) Applications can also be sent by registered post so as to reach the Commission’s office at Shillong not later than the last date prescribed for off-line mode. The Commission will not be responsible for postal lost or transit delay.
