Introduction
Reasoning becomes easier when you learn how to read a puzzle before you try to solve it

Start slow
Read the question once without a pen. Ask what type it is arrangements sets directions or coding. Decide the tool to use and only then draw a table or a diagram

Make a grid
For arrangements and scheduling make a simple grid with positions and attributes. Fill only what is certain. Leave the rest blank. Do not guess early

Use symbols
Mark definite yes with a tick and definite no with a cross. Keep the grid clean and you will see patterns pop out

Work from extremes
In ordering and ranking questions fix the highest and the lowest first. Middle items settle easily once the edges are fixed

Takeaway
Clean notes beat clever tricks. A steady process solves most puzzles
