Eligible Criteria for Utkal University Recruitment 2015

Qualification and Experience:
1) Professor: (a) An eminent scholar with PhD in the allied / concerned / relevant discipline and having published work of high quality and actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with atleast 10 publications in refereed / peer-reviewed journals, and as books / policy / research papers. (b) An eminent scholar with published work of high quality and actively engaged in research, with 10 years of experience in post graduate teaching / research at the National-level Institution / University. (c) A minimum Academic Performance Indicator (API) scores under the Performance Base Appraisal System (PBAS), as set out the UGC Regulation 2010 and subsequently amended in 2013 or An outstanding scholar with established reputation who has a made significant contribution to the field of knowledge.

2) Professor cum Principal: (a) Candidates should have possess Masters Degree with minimum 55% marks from a recognised University. (b) PhD Degree in concerned / relevant / allied discipline in the institution concerned with evidence of published work and research guidance. (c) Reader / Associate Professor / Professor with a total experience of 15 years research / teaching / administration in Universities, College and other institutions of higher education. (d) A minimum Academic Performance Indicator (API) scores under the Performance Base Appraisal System (PBAS), as set out the UGC Regulation 2010 and subsequently amended in 2013 for direct recruitment of Professors in Colleges.

3) Reader: (a) Good academic record with a doctoral degree or equivalent work. In addition, candidates who join from outside the University system, shall also possess minimum 55% of marks or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with latter grades, O,A,B,C,D and E and F at the Masters Degree Level. (b) Atleast 8 years of research / teaching experience in an academic / research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in University / College / Accredited Research Institution / Industry excluding the period of PhD research with evidence of published work and atleast 5 publications as books / policy / research papers. (c) A minimum Academic Performance Indicator (API) scores under the Performance Base Appraisal System (PBAS), as set out the UGC Regulation 2010 and subsequently amended in 2013.

4) Lecturer: (a) Good academic record with minimum 55% marks at the Masters Degree level in the relevant subject or an equivalent degree from an Indian University or Foreign University. (b) NET / SLET is the minimum eligibility condition for recruitment for appointment of Lecturers provided , however the candidates, who awarded PhD degree in compliances of the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for award of PhD degree) Regulation 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET / SLET for recruitment and appointment of Lecturer. (c) Without prejudice to the above , SLET / SET / NET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmers in discipline for SLET / SET / NET is not conducted.
