WBSSC CGL 14 Scheme & Syllabus: West Bengal Staff Selection Commission (WBSSC) has published the recruitment notification for 390 Inspector Backward Classes Welfare, Minority Development Officer, Research Investigator & Fishery Extension Officer under West Bengal Junior Fishery Service post. WBSSC Online Application are invited from eligible Indian Citizens for recruitment in different posts under various Departments, selection of which will be made by the West Bengal Staff Selection Commission in terms of Section 6 (1) of West Bengal Staff Selection Commission Act, 2011.

Now the Commission has published the details Scheme & Syllabus of the examination which are mention here. The examination will be conducted with 3 following stages.
1) Preliminary Examination
2) Mains Examination
3) Interview
1) Preliminary Examination
All candidates applied for any posts will be required to appear in the Combined Graduate Level(Preliminary) Examination, 2014. Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of marks obtained by them in this examination, Post- wise, depending on the number of vacancies for respective post, for appearing in the CGL Main Examination, 2014 / Interview.

Question type: MCQ (Multiple Choice Question)
Time of examination: 90 Minutes
I) General Knowledge-50 Question/ 50 Marks (each question 1 marks)
II) English Languate-55 Question/ 55 Marks (each question 1 marks)
III) Mathematics-30 Question/ 45 Marks (each question 1.5 marks)
2) Main Examination
Candidates applied either for the post of Research Investigator or for Fishery Extension Officer or for both are to be shortlisted , Post-wise and Category / Sub Category wise, on the basis of marks secured by them in the Preliminary Examination and depending on the vacancy for the concerned post, for respective Category / Sub Category. Shortlisted candidates will be asked for Interview directly. There will be no separate Mains Examination for these two posts.

I) English Précis Writing: 25 Marks
II) English Report Writing: 25 Marks
III) Essay Writing in any of the following language: English/ Bengali/ Hindi /Urdu/ Nepali/ Santali: 25 Marks
IV) Letter Writing in any of the following\language: English/ Bengali/ Hindi/ Urdu/ Nepali/ Santali: 25 Marks
3) Interview
For the Post of Inspector Backward Classes Welfare and / or Minority Development Officer, Candidates shortlisted on the basis of total marks obtained by them in Preliminary and Mains Examination will only be asked to appear in the Interview, to be conducted Post-wise.
Whereas for the Post of Fishery Extension Officer and / or Research Investigator, Candidates shortlisted on the basis of marks obtained by them in Preliminary Examination will only be asked to appear in the Interview, to be conducted Post-wise.
Total Number of Interview Marks:
1) Fishery Extension Officer: 15 marks
2) Research Investigator: 15 marks
3) Minority Development Officer: 15 marks
4) Inspector Backward Classes Welfare: 10 marks
